Victorian High Life and Low - Life Walking Tour

Join the Florence Nightingale Museum for a brand new London Walking tour!

A walk highlighting the immense wealth and abject poverty that existed side by side in Victorian London.

Florence Nightingale came from a wealthy family, but through her nursing and her campaigning she was well aware of the pitiful lives of many Victorian Londoners.  This walk will highlight the contrast between the rich few and the many poor.  It will shed a light on the conditions faced and the problems encountered – disease, poverty, prostitution and criminality.

**With adult themes, this walk is not suitable for children.

This walk lasts approximately 2 hours, and will be conducted at a reasonable walking pace so please wear appropriate footwear.

This tour is led by professional tour guides.

Start: 11.00am at the Corner of Waterloo Place and Pall Mall, outside Farlow’s shop window.  Farlow’s address is 9 Pall Mall, London SW1Y 5NP. Meet on the Waterloo Place pavement.

Finish: Soho Square
